Privacy Policy

Stainbrook Scents LLC operates Bar Fight™, a free trivia app created by Christina Stainbrook for adult hosts and players. This policy describes how information is handled in connection with the app.

Host accounts. Hosts register using a username and password or sign in with Google. Account and authentication information is processed to establish and maintain access. When Google sign-in is used, Google provides the account information authorized through the sign-in process. Bar Fight™ does not receive your Google password.

Optional player information. Players do not create accounts. They may optionally provide a name and gamertag. Those fields are not required personal details for participation.

Game records. Bar Fight™ stores game data and scores, including leaderboard and cumulative results, and associates records with the relevant host account. Host-created trivia is also stored to support the games in which it is used.

Support correspondence. If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message and use it to respond and resolve the issue. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

Information is used to authenticate hosts, operate games, maintain scores and cumulative records, provide leaderboards, store host-created content, provide support, protect the service, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Player-provided names and gamertags are stored within the relevant host account and are not made publicly available by Bar Fight™. Hosts can access the information and game records associated with their accounts. Bar Fight™ does not publish a public directory of player information.

Hosts control their use of information available to them. If a host shares a screen, distributes a screenshot, or otherwise shares information outside the app, that is a separate action by the host. Hosts are responsible for informing players about any such sharing and obtaining permission where required.

Authorized operational access may be necessary to provide support, maintain the service, protect security, or comply with law. Storage within a host account does not mean the host's device is the only place information is processed or stored.

Google sign-in. Hosts choosing Google sign-in also interact with Google's authentication service. Google's handling of information is governed by its own privacy policy.

GIPHY. Bar Fight™ uses the GIPHY API to provide GIF content. Requests to GIPHY and loading its media may expose technical information, such as an IP address and device or browser information, to GIPHY. Its handling of information is governed by its own privacy policy.

Optional player fields remaining private within Bar Fight™ does not prevent external services from processing technical information when their features are used.

Information may be processed by providers supporting hosting, storage, or authentication to the extent necessary to provide the app. We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, or as lawfully necessary to protect users, investigate unauthorized activity, or safeguard the service. These circumstances do not make player information publicly accessible.

Bar Fight™ uses safeguards intended to protect account information and stored player and game data against unauthorized access. Hosts must protect their login credentials and devices. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security.

Bar Fight™ stores game history and cumulative records to support continued tracking rather than automatically discarding them at the end of a game.

To request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you, contact barfight@scentandsonder.com. Players should identify the relevant host or game and the name or gamertag used so the record can be located. Do not send passwords. We may need to verify a request before taking action.

Requests are handled in accordance with applicable law and available records. Some information may need to be retained for legitimate legal or security purposes, and removal from backups may follow the relevant backup lifecycle. Contact us for information about retention of a particular record.

Bar Fight™ is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit minors to participate. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We may update this policy as the app or its practices change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law. Changes do not override rights or obligations that apply to information already collected.
